Main causes of civilisation diseases
The following factors should be taken into consideration as the main causes of civilisation diseases:
- Poor diet consisting of junk food (processed and lacking in nutrients) or unbalanced diet with a lack of fibre, minerals and other active ingredients (e.g. vitamins, trace elements, organic enzymes),
- Physical stresses caused by harmful environmental influences (e.g. environmental pollution, toxins and residues in food, air, living space),
- Social trends such as high population density and loss of group and family ties (isolation),
- Psychological stresses caused by social aberrations (e.g. stress, fear of existence),
- Lack of exercise and one-dimensional stresses caused by monotonous activity or excessive comfort and convenience.
