Click 'New measurement' to display the following dialogue window for communication with a TANITA professional scale:

The scale parameters (type, mode and connection) must be set when first measurement is taken.
The instructions for the individual types of scales must be followed when connecting to a PC!
Check the entries again, possibly enter a weight for clothes and start measurement by clicking <Start Measure>. The relevant instructions or error messages will be displayed in the information window if a connection to the scale cannot be established. Entries and 'Weight only' mode are only relevant in remote mode. This is most convenient, but is not supported by all scales.
Following the successful transfer of readings this dialogue box will close automatically and the data entered in the health monitor. Click <Save> to save all data displayed to the database. The next reading can then be taken. If data is not saved it will be discarded when the next measurement is taken (e.g. in the event that a measurement is taken again because it is clearly incorrect) or on closing the index card.
